Who we are
We are Within Reach Workshops, owned and operated by Lori Eisner, Ph.D. and Heather Kapson, Ph.D. We are licensed clinical psychologists trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(CBT).
What we provide
Within Reach Workshops offers interactive educational online self-paced and live courses that aim to equip participants with a mental health skillset in a cost-effective and time-efficient manner. Within Reach Workshops provides focused and practical skills to help make changes in your life based on ACT. Knowing that it is hard to find the time and resources to support your mental health, this workshop has been developed so that helpful tools are within quick and easy reach.
Our workshops are divided into lessons that will introduce a topic, incorporate exercises that connect your experiences to the material, and suggest ongoing ways to practice and apply the work to your life in-between lessons. You will be given access to all materials, handouts, summaries of lesson content, and audio recordings.
What we do not provide
These workshops are psychoeducational. They are not group therapy. Group therapy involves additional processing and support that is not included in Within Reach Workshops. No 1:1 psychotherapy will be provided as part of Within Reach Workshops.
Within Reach Workshops does not provide any crisis intervention or emergency services. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please contact your local mental health provider, call 911, or visit your nearest emergency room.
CEUs will not be provided. This is NOT a training for clinicians interested in incorporating ACT into their clinical practices. This material is for personal use only.
Risks & Benefits
Participating in Within Reach Workshops has potential risks and benefits. As you identify the obstacles and challenges you are facing, you may be exploring unpleasant aspects of your life. You may experience painful thoughts or uncomfortable feelings like sadness, guilt, anger, frustration, loneliness and helplessness. You will learn ways to relate differently to your difficult thoughts and feelings throughout each of the workshop sessions. These workshops are developed from ACT, an evidence-based psychotherapy which has been shown to have many benefits, often leading to better relationships, solutions to specific problems, and significant reductions in feelings of distress. There are no guarantees of what you will experience.
Confidentiality
Within Reach workshops will maintain strict confidentiality of your personal information that you provide at registration and will never sell your information to any third party.
Your personal information is stored through Thinkific. Thinkific ensures that they have in place appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect against unauthorized or unlawful processing of personal data and against accidental loss or destruction of, or damage to, personal data. Thinkific also ensures that all personnel who have access to and/or process personal data are obliged to keep the personal data confidential.
Cancellation Policy
Within Reach Workshops reserves the right to cancel any course due to insufficient participant demand or extenuating circumstances. In this rare circumstance, participants will receive a credit to participate in a future workshop. Participants will receive notification of any cancellations at the email provided at registration.
No refunds, tuition adjustments, nor cancellations can be issued once a participant registers for a course and has access to all course materials.
Cost
Course costs are noted on the registration page. Payment is due at registration. All major credit cards are accepted.
Because these workshops are psychoeducational in nature and are not group therapy, we do not accept health insurance. Within Reach Workshops will not be able to provide any receipts for reimbursement for your insurance company.
Loyalty and Promotion codes provided through direct marketing may not be passed on to individuals who were not recipients of the original marketing.
